Barton refused entry to US
Joey Barton has been denied a US visa for Newcastle’s pre-season tour. The US embassy refused to grant his visa on the grounds his previous criminal record.
In 2008 Joey was jailed after being convicted of assault. However following this Joey has continually tried to better himself as a person.
Joey expressed his regret that his misaligned past is now affecting his current life. He apologised to Newcastle fans as well as a growing fan base in the US. He will now travel to Holland with the reserve team who are due to play Hollandia, FC Utrecht and Almere City.

joey barton denied entry here because of a criminal background ??? that makes sence…we can’t have any sport stars in the us with criminal backgrounds…wait a minute..thats all we have are sport stars with criminal backgrounds…and non repentant at that..maybe he was denied because he WAS repentant…as an arsenal supporter, i hope he will come with us..we need his fire and passion.
