Joey Barton has been jailed for 6 months as a result of a bust-up outside a McDonald’s restaurant on December 27 2007.

He spent new year in custody over the same incident.

If anyone’s bet on him to win player of the year, now’s the time to go and trade out at Betfair because we won’t be seeing much more of him this season.

Sadly Joey doesn’t seem to be able to stay out of trouble at the moment and he really needs to learn to control himself if he hopes to continue his football career. It’s hard to see which other clubs would take a chance on him now. Hopefully he will learn his lesson and be able to calm his temper down in future.
